It has been a couple weeks since I last posted an update to PaperFace but that is because I have been rebuilding it from the ground up now that I have a little better idea of how I hope it will end up.
Along with the rebuilt, I have implemented the following into 0.2:
** FrontEnd
- Transform tools to move objects in scene (use A to switch axis in perspective)
- Camera transform capability (clicking in the scene and dragging)
- Camera zoom capability (use the mousewheel)
- Multiple views - Front, Left, Top and Perspective
- New panel system that hasn't caused issues with resizing
- Object highlights on select
- More primitives
** Backend
- Connection via AMFPHP to the CMS, this will eventually allow for users to upload 3d assets and materials, as well as saving their current setup.
- Asset Manager - controls all of the objects that are currently on stage
- Material Manager - holds all of the materials that are being used
- Class Manager - holds a list of all the class files that are required to build the application
I have listed some of the backend updates because I want to let you know what I am focusing on for the next couple of releases. My three major things are exporting working code, importing models and importing materials. Those three things should be functional in the next build.
Well that is it for this update. If you didn't spot it in the menus, the new build can be found here: www.paper-face.com/paperface02/main.html
cheers,
Marc

I registered to the site but when I connect to the application I still get the message like I was an unregistered user and some of the functionalities are grayed out...

Yeah the importing and other functions are greyed out for me too. This looks like a great project, I suck at programming so anything that makes the process a little easier is a step in the right direction.
humm everything is grayed out except primitives, and I cant really do anything with them any way.
btw, how the hell can I tell the case of "p" in the capthca
Maybe it's because I just registered but when I go into 0.2a it tells me that I need to register and login to upload a file. I had done both of the above. I am using a Mac and tried it on both safari and Firefox. not blocking pop-ups and accepting cookies, any thoughts?

very odd, when i log in it doesn't display that message.
doesn't really matter for functionality right now because that is just the first step in allowing you to upload your own assets. The actual importing functionality is not yet implemented, you still get full functionality (for now)

Really cool, how do you get the papervision scene centered in the panel?
